We just released a very exciting feature: Email Notifications. You can find it in the ToolBox panel, by clicking on the link "Notify". It will allow you to notify one or many members of the place that you have created, that you have made a modification on a page in your place.

Until now, you only had Rss feeds, or the What's New link, to enable your members to follow up on updates within your place. But very often, you want to alert immediately some members of your place, that you have published an information. This way, that they can act quickly after that.

There is no better way than to send them an email, with a link to the related page, and to let them receive this notification through their Outlook or even their BlackBerry or other similar tools like.

Our new Notify feature allows you to do this automatically, clicking just on the list of the members to which you want to write, adding a small comment to your notification, and even historizing this notification into your page to keep a trace of it for later usage. You also have the ability to ask for an Acknowledge message, and to put a copy of your page into the email for a quicker reading.

Once you start to use Notify feature, you won't be able to work without :-)

To use it, it's very simple. Go to the page you want to notify, and click on the link "Notify" in the ToolBox panel:

A new window displaying the form to do the notification will appear. Select the members to notify, like in any regular email (to, cc, or bcc). By clicking on one of these words, you will have the members' list displayed and will be able to select one or many receivers.

Then check the options as you want (historization could be very important for the trackability of your relationship with your members) and click on "Send". The email notification will be sent automatically to the members you have selected.
